The AquaTractor® - For Sale or Hire

Kingcombe Aquacare's new and improved AquaTractor® has now completed four operating seasons, during which it has surpassed even our own hopes for the machine.
Throughout the course of the 2005 weed cutting season, the machine operated without a single breakdown, proving that all the hard lessons we have learned over 15 years of contract weed harvesting have been put to good use. Modifications to the propulsion unit and the conveyor system in particular have proved to be a real success. Since then all repairs have been a result of normal wear and tear.
Designed around Horace Miller's original weed harvester, and with his active support, Kingcombe are therefore now offering the Aquatractor® for sale or hire in its standard weed cutting and harvesting role.
However, our design and marketing philosiphy is to develop the machine further, to make it into a truly multi-purpose tool, as its name implies. Using the basic hull, inboard diesel engine and propulsion unit, we aim to develop a whole range of variants, using the common hydraulic system to power a variety of tools.
For instance the AquaTractor® is ideally suited to provide a stable work platform upon which can be mounted a tree lopping device, ideal for use on canals where access along the bank is difficult, and health and safety issues preclude the use of men operating from mobile access platforms.
Implements can be easily and quickly mounted for the application of aquatic herbicides in a controlled and comercially viable manner. The basic weed harvesting technology can be simply adapted, to offer a litter collection and disposal variant, for use in ports, marinas and canal basins, where the AquaTractor's® tremendous manouverability, shallow draft and ease of unloading will provide a real alternative to costly and hazardous manual removal.
Working closely with our design engineers at SFM technology, Kingcombe plan to develop a whole range of equipment for the AquaTractor®, which will make the purchase of a basic work platform a wise investment for anyone responsible for the maintenance of demanding waterways.
